Oscar Castro joined Saxon Financial Group in February 2022 as a Paraplanner and has rapidly advanced within the organization. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and is a Certified Financial Planner® professional.
Oscar has held roles ranging from Portfolio Trader to Senior Trader and Investment Management Analyst while maintaining his financial planning responsibilities. In these roles, he collaborated with the CIO and President, managed client portfolios, monitored investments, and designed tailored financial plans for clients as part of our holistic planning approach.
Currently serving as the Director of Financial Planning, Oscar leads the planning division and remains actively involved in investment management. He is passionate about helping clients envision their future, building strong relationships, understanding their individual needs, and crafting financial plans that provide peace of mind and clarity. Oscar believes in making complex financial concepts accessible and relatable, helping clients feel confident in their financial decisions. He works closely with the Operations, Investment, and Compliance teams to develop comprehensive strategies that align with our client’s unique goals and aspirations.
Outside work, Oscar enjoys spending time with his family, walking his dog, Lily and is an avid gaming enthusiast.
